DIGICEL CONTRIBUTES “BACK TO SCHOOL” KITS TO THE SIX PRIMARY SCHOOLS OF ANGUILLA!
October 11th 2009, THE VALLEY, ANGUILLA: To further highlight their ongoing commitment to educate Anguillian youth, Digicel announces their contribution to the learning development of the children of our six primary schools.
On Monday September 14th 2009, Digicel invited all principles from the various primary schools to receive a generous contribution on behalf of the children of Anguilla. Present there were teacher: Celestine John; Morris Vanterpool Primary, Tricia Richardson; Alwyn Allison Primary, Marcia Gumbs; Orealia Kelly Primary, Alison Hughes; Valley Primary, Mavis Fleming; Adrain T Hazell Primary and Tracelyn Hamilton from the Island Harbor Primary School. Each school received thirty kits which included: copy books, pencils, sharpeners, lunch warmers, and draw string bags.
Recognizing the importance of education, the acting Country Manager, Mr. Gerry Ryan stated in his opening comments, “Digicel not only gives great value to our customers but is also committed to the value of the Anguillian youth’s future.” He further stated “this contribution is a token of appreciation to the parents as well as those who continue to support Digicel in Anguilla.”
In closing, Teacher Celestine John accepted the gifts on behalf of the children and teachers of Anguilla and commended Digicel for the hard work and great services they continue to show to the people. Digicel was very pleased and promises to continue showing support and loyalty to the community.
