December 4th, THE VALLEY, ANGUILLA: The Landsome Bowl Cultural Center came alive on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December 2009, with fourteen very talented individuals including; Dwaynequa Baird, Sharmon Browne, Shanda Webster, Kerrol Bryan, Dylon Cognette, Ikimbah Gumbs, Deanna Mussington, Joseph Pradel, Vetlyn Richardson Barcy, Maguada Jackson, Omalie Durand, Maline Ortega, Danny Bryan plus Samantha Cate and Daniella Richardson. They took the stage with various forms of talent ranging from; song, comedy, spoken word and art. All fourteen contestants gave their all on the stage and the crowd responded with applause and contributed their votes by means of texting to keep their favorite contestants in the show for the next round of performances.
When each contestant performed, the esteemed panel of judges which included; Karl Woodley, Sharon Lake, Sharon Richardson, Daphne Jacobs and Allen Newman provided live helpful feedback to assist each contestant in the betterment of their talent for the next round which took place on Saturday 5th December 2009.
‘From being involved with the Digicel regional talent show, Rising Stars, I saw firsthand the amazing level of talent that we have here in Anguilla and Digicel is honored to be able to provide a platform for our local talent to shine and take center stage,” commented Ms. Brooks, Country Manager.
There was much anticipation on Saturday night as the votes were tallied and the judges’ recommendations were combined to determine which lucky contestants would emerge out of the fourteen. As the evening unfolded and the results were read the following six contestants were overjoyed to hear that they made it through to the final show which will be held on Friday December 11th 2009 at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center; Shanda Webster, Ikimbah Gumbs, Deanna Mussington, Omalie Durand, Maline Ortega and Daniella Richardson. Digicel would like to congratulate all contestants for their bravery and wish the final six a successful night on Friday!

Anguilla truly has talent in abundance and the mentioned fourteen contestants proved that on Friday 4th December 2009. Good luck to you all, you are already winners!” said the Marketing Executive Anuska Reymond.
Friday December 11th is guaranteed to be a talent packed night as the final six contestant’s battle it out in two rounds of performances to determine who will be named Anguilla’s Got Talent 2009Winner. In the heart of good sportsmanship and support the other acts who did not make it through, have agreed to be a part of the final night proceedings. There will be guest performances by; Anguilla’s Road March Champions the Exodus Band, artists from the Grime-e Label will also be there.
